After studying communication and theatre sciences, I worked as a freelance journalist. In 1994, together with friends, I founded the production company mea culpa for non-fictional projects. Through assisting on fictional projects I came into contact with professional casting and was lucky enough to meet Simone Bär in 2002. Our meeting led to a collaboration just one year later. From then on, we cast many national and international films and series. Consequently, we founded “simone bär casting GbR” together in 2019. Since Simone’s untimely death in January 2023, I have continued our work under the name “alexmontag.casting”.
