Lucinda Syson (Casting Director – London based)
After graduating with a French and Linguistics degree, dabbling with photography and the idea of directing Lucinda’s Casting career from the word go took the path of studio feature films working with world renowned Directors . Her first film as an Assistant was
Alien 3 followed by City of Joy, 1492 and Little Buddha. After training under Priscilla John her first projects as Casting Director were Fifth Element (Luc Besson), Snatch (Guy Ritchie), Troy (Wolfgang Petersen) and Spy Game (Tony Scott) going on to cast the likes of Children Of Men (Alfonso Cuarón), Batman Begins (Christopher Nolan), both Wonder Woman films (Patty Jenkins) and most recently with 25yrs + experience under her belt she has branched into the new wave of Television with Foundation due to air this year and just completing Neil Gaiman’s Sandman. She received an Artios nomination for Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Bafta, CDG and takes an active interest in promoting the importance of how crucial the art and craft of casting is in our industry.
